NFL Week 9 Picks

We are 68-47-1 against the spread and 75-41 straight up for the season.

Kansas City (+6.5) over Jacksonville

Cassel has played better on the road and the bye week should help them keep this game relatively close.  Jaguars 27-21

Cincinnati (+3) over Baltimore

They beat them once on the road so there’s no reason they should be an underdog at home in this divisional game. Bengals 20-17

Houston (+9) over Indianapolis

Houston’s offense, even without Daniels, should be able to keep up with Manning.  They’ll score some points on the road but will falter in the end.  Colts 34-27

Washington (+10) over Atlanta

The Redskins may be bad but they can still play defense and haven’t lost any game this season by more than 10 points.  Falcons 24-17

Tampa Bay (+10) over Green Bay

Tampa has played poorly but should be able to cover 10 points at home against a division rival with a gimpy QB.  Packers 27-20

Chicago (-3) over Arizona

Chicago is undefeated at home and the Cards have been perfect on the road.  My guess is Warner still hasn’t recovered from last week’s five INT debacle.  Bears 28-24

New England (-10.5) over Miami

They surprised them with the Wildcat once last year but that will never happen again.   Brady won’t have trouble piling on the points against the 21st ranked pass defense.  Patriots 31-17

Seattle (-10) over Detroit

Detroit has lost three road games by an average of over 22 points.  Seattle has its own problems but should get an easy victory here.  Seahawks 28-10

San Francisco (-4.5) over Tennessee

The Niners have lost three in a row to some very good teams.  This one should be an easy home victory.  49ers 20-10

New York Giants(-4.5) over San Diego

The Chargers have not beaten a team that currently has a winning record.  The Giants have been in a tailspin but need this victory to stay in contention in the NFC East.  Giants 28-21

Philadelphia (-3) over Dallas

The Cowboys have won their last three but that streak will end on the road against a tough Eagles defense.  Eagles 30-24

Pittsburgh (-3) over Denver

Pittsburgh will follow Baltimore’s blueprint and dare Orton to beat them deep.  The result will be the same as last week.  Steelers 21-13

New Orleans (-13) over Carolina

The Panthers will try to run but by the 2nd quarter the Saints will be too far ahead for them to keep running.  Saints 38-17
